In this position, we will look to you to write software that directly impacts the day-to-day functions of our finance and accounting teams, restaurant leaders across almost 300 locations, and nearly every other department at WKS. Sometimes we build big things like an app that translates clock-in records to payroll data. Other times we build small things, like a report on average check amount per restaurant. We have an exciting queue of activities that you will be the primary developer on, as you work on with our Director of Technology/Software Architect.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Leverage your creativity, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of computing situations and activities
  • Develop software in a G Suite, Microsoft Windows, and Azure environments
  • Monitor the performance, quality, and responsiveness of company applications
  • Migrate legacy code to ASP.NET Core and serverless architecture
  • Integrate to third-party SOAP and REST API’s
  • Perform systems engineering and requirements decomposition
  • Communicate status and propose possible solutions to IT and non-IT staff
  • Find and fix bugs promptly

An ideal candidate will be:

  • Technically and analytically minded, with an interest in a variety of technologies
  • Able to conceptualize a feature, from its design to development to delivery
  • Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Professionally experienced in programming (2-5 years), with a degree in computer science or a related field, or relevant experience
  • Eager to take on new initiatives and propose ideas as opportunities arise.
  • Ability/passion for writing clean code! (We do not currently have a QA team or automation testing built)
